Hi! I am Coach Hasan. I am a coach, facilitator, trainer and speaker at Rubah Associates, a learning and development company I co-founded.

Specialization

My expertise is in coaching, facilitating and training, bringing with me the requisite experience and skills acquired during the corporate life I came from.

As a coach, I build and maintain a partnership relationship between you (the client) and I, to help enable learning and contribute to the achieving of goals set by you. As a trainer, I facilitate learning by designing, customizing and delivering trainings and follow-through sessions, to create lasting learning experiences for your personal mastery and organizational excellence.

In coaching, facilitating and training you to achieve your goals, I predominantly facilitate a process called Best Year Yet® that is geared towards breaking through barriers, finding what really matters to you, and inspiring you to create the results you want. Using this process, I draw out your own wisdom, values and insight, making your plan and your living of your life meaningful and focused on your most important goals.

Also, Muslim senior leaders will benefit from my coaching that reinforces their spiritual path, enhancing their professional and personal life.

With non-Muslim clients, similarly they receive benefit of reinforcement of universal values that I may not necessarily use Islamic terminology.

Experience

I have more than 40 years working experience, most of them in the corporate world, having held multiple positions in services, business, leadership and management, especially in the fields of ICT, innovation and government.

I had more than 26 years tenure at IBM Malaysia, then was Chief Executive Officer of an innovation consulting startup company under Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang. Upon my return to Kuala Lumpur I served at HeiTech Managed Services before joining Multimedia Development Corporation (now known as Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) for my final corporate position.

Education and Personal Interest

I hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Cardiff University, UK. My interest in productivity led me to acquire certifications as Getting Things Done® (GTD®) Coach and Trainer and Best Year Yet® Coach and Trainer. I am also a believer in open innovation, having presented the topic in the speaking circuit and written on it in local publications.

I am a former committee member of MAFa (Malaysian Association of Facilitators). My other community positions in the past include Vice President of Malaysia National Computer Federation (MNCC) which is an association for computer and ICT professionals and Treasurer of the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) which is an association of companies in the ICT industry.

I live with my wife in Kuala Lumpur. We have two married children who have left the nest, and I can often be seen playing with my four grandchildren. Otherwise look for me outside, cycling, or inside in my home theatre room watching Star Trek series, celebrating the human spirit.
